Tupari is about the vineyard. The unique combination of climate and soils that determine the essence of the wine itself are what makes Tupari special. The upper Awatere Valley has the “one of a kind” geography that grows grapes with distinctive characteristics.

The Sauvignon Blanc from our vineyard has a richness and flavour concentration that separates it out. We are striving for white peach and stone fruit notes underpinned by a mineral backbone. The Tupari style is one of understated power with the classic Marlborough flavour intensity that is the hallmark of our region.  Tupari Sauvignon Blanc retains its freshness and vitality for 18 months to 3 years. During the winemaking process we intervene as little as possible. By incorporating a proportion of French oak into the blend, and careful use of winemaking technology we are able to capture the essence of our vineyard.

We are striving to express the “terroir “ in our wines. Our wine is an expression of where it was grown. We capture that, and bottle it so that it can be enjoyed anywhere in the world.
